It was a good time at Fuller Park, where fans came to watch the Lake Erie Arryns and Kent Comets get after it.

Getting an impressive start from Vicente López, Kent beat Lake Erie by the score of 3-0. Getting the save was Gypsyamber D'Souza, his 3rd.

López, who dominated for Kent, earned the victory to move to 1-0. He was in control the whole game, scattering 7 hits over 8.1 innings, while striking out 6. Lake Erie batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

"Like I've always said, I'm the straw that stirs the drink," López said (again).

Kent is now 10-19. Lake Erie is 11-18.
