The Cut Off Crawdads trumped the Kent Comets, 6-0, at Fuller Park. Cut Off designated hitter Jermaine Vassell was named player of the game for his performance. He went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Cut Off reliever Mauro Sandín was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. Javier Merlo took the loss for Kent. The Crawdads, now 7-3, have been on a roll in the early going.

Cut Off relied on the hitting of Vicente Perales to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Crawdads on top, 3-0. For the game, Perales had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
