The Myrtle Beach Seahawks topped the Washington Generals, 6-3, with youngster Xavier Botín playing a key role. Botín went 2-4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 4 runs for the Seahawks in the win. Myrtle Beach reliever Adrián Gómez was the winner. His record is now 3-1. The losing pitcher was Francis Riley. Joe Gregg recorded the save for Myrtle Beach, his 1st of the season.
Botín contributed a big hit, a bases-clearing double, for Myrtle Beach in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 2-1, Botín took a fastball from Francis Riley and stroked the double to left-center. His 5th double of the season allowed the Seahawks to leap in front, 4-2.
