Reapers Score Late to Upend Hawks, 3-2
|
In a low-scoring clash between Grim and Laredo, pitcher Bhagavan Antle was a difference-maker. The left-hander earned player of the game honors for Grim in the 3-2 win. The Reapers bumped their record to 51-38 with this latest triumph.
Grim used the timely hitting of Curtis Tiger to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Reapers on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Bhagavan is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Grim manager Terrence Eler.
