It was a fun time at Great Northern Field, where the Colorado Billy Goats and Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC tangled.

The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC defeated the Colorado Billy Goats, 7-3, in United States Silver League action at Great Northern Field, with Thunder Bay catcher Sébastien Cornu named player of the game. The win pushes Thunder Bay to a record of 4-5.

The Billy Goats had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Northern Lions BC going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the former first round draft pick Gilberto Ocasio came to the plate. Ocasio hit a run-scoring single on a first pitch changeup from Colorado hurler Malcolm Bullard. It was Ocasio's 10th hit of the year.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Ocasio told the Thunder Bay Daily.
