Reapers Cut Down Mangos, 5-1
|
The Grim Reapers defeated the Kingston Mangos, 5-1. Earning player of the game honors was second baseman Danny Warner, who went 2-4 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 times. James Fitzgerald recorded his 1st save for Grim. Grim bumps their record to 47-34 with the win.
It could have been a different outcome for Grim, had it not been for Huang-di Shu, the 21-year old third baseman . Shu contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth inning to put Grim up, 3-1.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Warner said after the game.
