Victory Over 1787 BC Takes Caldwell to 45-30
|
Caldwell Chiefs starter Hsin-ta Lian was in fine form against the Delaware 1787 BC at Pipers Ballpark, leading his team to a 5-1 win. Lian picked up the win for Caldwell, going 5.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 8-2. Gregg Booth finished to wrap up his 24th save.
Derrick Davis, who is tied for 9th in the SA in home runs with 9, aided the Caldwell cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the third. For the game, the third baseman was 2 for 2 with 2 doubles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
