Expos Come Back Late, Nip Torch

The Niagara Falls Expos did just enough to sneak past the Mancelona Torch, 4-3, at Waterfall Park. Niagara Falls designated hitter Jim O'Neal earned player of the game honors. The win was credited to Dave Green in relief. His record improves to 1-7. Danny Byrd took the loss. Niagara Falls now sits at 21-53, while Mancelona falls to 35-39.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Niagara Falls trailing 3-2, O'Neal hit a knuckle curve from Danny Byrd for a 2-run home run, giving the Expos the walk-off win.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Mancelona manager Ezequiel Chosson.
