Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Syracuse Storm got the win.
The Syracuse Storm got a strong performance from pitcher Kuang-yin Gao, who stymied the Kingston offense en route to a 4-2 win at Mango Yard. Syracuse is now 36-36, Kingston 30-42.
Bobby Verstraten, who leads the SA in stolen bases with 25, contributed to the Syracuse win with a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
