The Syracuse Storm picked up a win at Mango Yard, knocking off the Kingston Mangos, 3-1. Starting pitcher Kevin Moran was an essential part of his team's success. Nate Flores was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 19 of 19 save opportunities. The 5th-place Storm raised their record to 35-36.
In the top of the third, Russell Hamilton hit a run-scoring single for Syracuse. The 26th hit of the season for the Syracuse third baseman put the Storm on top, 2-1.
Hamilton told a Syracuse Daily News reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
