The Grim Reapers got a superb performance from pitcher Jarko Aravirta. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Niagara Falls. The Expos won the game, 5-3. In spite of the loss, Aravirta was named the player of the game. He threw 5 innings of 4-hit ball. Pablo Mareno earned the save, his 1st. Today's win puts Niagara Falls at 19-51, while Grim falls to 42-28.
Mark Brantley aided the Niagara Falls cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh. For the game, the shortstop went 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He scored 2 runs.
