Generals Turn Back Grim, 5-3
|
The Washington Generals picked up a win at Washington Park, knocking off the Grim Reapers, 5-3. Starting pitcher José Espinosa was an essential part of his team's success. Randy Keith earned the save, his 15th, for the Generals. With the victory, the Generals record now stands at 31-35.
Round Lake Beach, Illinois-born Michael Hutchinson came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases loaded and the Generals trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run single to left to put Washington on top.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Hutchinson.
