The Charleston Battery turned back the Hollywood Shredders, 6-5, at The Hollywood Bowl. Datu Lesaca was named player of the game for his fine performance. He was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The win was credited to Rodrigo Alarcon in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Andrei-Luiz Frial took the loss. Branlyn Jaraba nailed down his 2nd save.

Charleston grabbed the momentum in the top of the seventh, when Lesaca, who finished 5th in the PL in doubles with 28 last year, hit a grand slam home run. His 3rd home run of the season put the Battery out in front, 6-5.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Lesaca said.

The Battery are off to a tough start, getting just their 4th win in 12 games.
