Mangos Solve Expos, 5-2
|
Kingston turned a good effort from starter Bill Salas into a win over the Niagara Falls Expos at Waterfall Park. The final score was 5-2. Salas got the win, improving to 3-5. He allowed 4 hits and walked 2 over 6.2 innings. Salas allowed 2 earned runs. Getting the save was Thomas Hancock, his 14th.
Francisco Obando helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring single to give Kingston a 1-0 lead.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Salas, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
The last-place Expos have dropped 4 straight games.
