Expos Turn Back Washington, 3-1
|
Bob Hollingsworth never let Washington get something going. The Niagara Falls right-hander commanded his cutter in pitching the Expos to a 3-1 win. Even with the win, the Expos have a dismal 14-34 record.
Niagara Falls grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out and a runner on 2nd, Jorge Núñez delivered a run-scoring double, to make it 1-0 in favor of the Expos.
"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Hollingsworth said.
