Wells Delivers Walk-Off Win for Torch
|
Mancelona Torch starter Bryan Workman turned in an exceptional performance against the Delaware 1787 BC at Torch Field, resulting in a Mancelona win, 4-2. The winner was Diyaa Ababneh in relief. His record improves to 5-3. Ron Plummer took the loss. Delaware's current losing streak is now 4 games.
Mancelona won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With one out and Ron Plummer on the mound for Delaware, second baseman Bill Wells hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing Torch fans to their feet.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Workman said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
