Expos Roll Over Chiefs, 9-3
|
Niagara Falls right fielder Conrad Overdevest played a vital role in his team's 9-3 triumph over Caldwell. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Niagara Falls. Qing-lai Hoong locked down his 2nd save. At 11-28, the Expos are currently last in the Silver A.
Niagara Falls used the timely hitting of Jim O'Neal to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning to put the Expos on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," O'Neal told the Niagara Falls Gazette.
