Mangos Topple Hawks with Late Rally

Kingston starter Vicente Castro pitched effectively against the Laredo Hawks at Mango Yard. The right-hander led his team to a 2-1 win. Kingston is now 12-20, while Laredo is 19-13.
Bob Byrd found himself in a pressure situation in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Laredo hurler Eric Hurt, the 21-year-old center fielder hit a sacrifice fly. His 22nd RBI of the season put the Mangos on top, 2-1.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Kingston skipper .
