Late Rally by Hawks Seals 4th Straight Win
|
Kingston pitcher Wayland Whitlock gave the Hawks all they could handle, but in the end, Laredo left Mango Yard with a 2-1 win. Whitlock allowed 1 earned run on 3 hits over 6.1 innings. Reliever Jack Elvidge picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Gabriel García took the loss. Getting the save was Martin Rumbolt, his 7th.
Mark Wofford hit a run-scoring triple off Gabriel García in the top of the ninth, which put the Hawks in front, 2-1. Wofford had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 2.
