Daulong Slugs Seahawks to 6-1 Win
|
The Myrtle Beach Seahawks beat the Niagara Falls Expos, 6-1, at Seahwaks Stadium. The win was largely due to the efforts of second baseman Francisco Daulong, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2 for 2 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. Kwang-sik Kang got credit for the win, improving to 5-2. He allowed no runs on 4 hits in 5 innings. The Seahawks have now won 4 straight.
Daulong had a key at-bat for Myrtle Beach early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and gave Myrtle Beach an early 3-0 lead.
