|
The Delaware 1787 BC picked up a win at Carrier Field, knocking off the Myrtle Beach Seahawks, 7-1. Starting pitcher Francisco Díaz played a key role in the triumph. Díaz, the winner, moves to 2-2. He threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 1 walk. The 1787 BC saw their record improve to 13-8.
In the bottom of the second, Walt Reed hit a run-scoring double for Delaware. The 6th double of the season for the Delaware right fielder put the 1787 BC on top, 1-0.
