The Washington Generals picked up a win at Washington Park, knocking off the Laredo Hawks, 6-4. Starting pitcher Luis Medina was an essential part of his team's success. Randy Keith got credit for the save for Washington. It was his 7th of the year. With the win, Washington is 11-8.

Ramón García had a big 2-run double for the Generals in the bottom of the third inning. With Washington leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a slider from Dan Carter and stroked the double to right-center. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Generals ahead, 3-0.

"Enjoyed this one," García told the Washington Times. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
