Storm Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
Syracuse got a strong outing from Jeff Davis as the Storm defeated the Kingston Mangos, 6-2, at Mango Yard. Davis got the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed 7 hits and walked 0 over 6 innings. Davis allowed 1 earned run. The Mangos, now 4-10, continue their poor start.

Francisco Romero had a big run-scoring double for the Storm in the top of the third inning. With Syracuse leading 2-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a slider from Jorge Bigro and stroked the double to left-center. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Storm ahead, 3-0.

"Enjoyed this one," Davis told the Syracuse Daily News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
