1787 BC Get Road Win, 7-1
|
The Delaware 1787 BC went home winners at Washington Park, thanks in large part to starter Francisco Díaz. Díaz silenced the Washington Generals, enabling Delaware to grab the 7-1 win. Díaz picked up the win for Delaware, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1. The 1787 BC, now 9-4, have played some good baseball in the early going.
The 1787 BC had to work out of trouble in the bottom of the ninth. The score was 7-1, Delaware, with one out. Washington, with the bases loaded, was mounting a threat. Xavier Hutchesson dug in at the plate, but on a 1-2 sinker, he hit into a double play.
