The Washington Generals beat the Mancelona Torch, 5-4, at Washington Park. The Generals got a fine performance from third baseman Cho-yun Yip, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-4 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Picking up the save was Randy Keith, his 3rd. Washington goes to 6-0 with the win.
Vance Lee had a key at-bat with no one out in the bottom of the third for Washington. With runners on 1st and 3rd and the Generals leading 4-0, he grounded out, driving in 1 run.
