Reapers Come Up Short at Delaware
The Grim Reapers got a superb performance from catcher John Crosby, but the Delaware 1787 BC still won the game, 9-8. Crosby was named the player of the game despite the loss. He was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Dario Zorander was the winning pitcher. Over 5 innings, he allowed 5 runs on 9 hits, with 3 walks and 4 strikeouts. Roberto Morales finished the game for Delaware and earned his 3rd save.

Delaware right fielder Walt Reed contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball into right field for a grand slam home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the 1787 BC ahead, 6-2.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Reed told the Delaware Chronicle.

With the win, Delaware improves its record to 4-1.
