The Yucca Valley Yellows defeated the Idaho Falls Chukars, 10-1, at Ballpark of Yucca Valley. Yucca Valley center fielder Bill Gatacre was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 4 runs. The winner was Yucca Valley reliever Miguel Ávila, now 2-4. The loser was Andy Burns. The Yellows raised their record to 36-39.
Alden Hall had a chance to do some damage in the top of the ninth. With Idaho Falls trailing 10-0, Idaho Falls had the bases loaded. Hall hit a sacrifice fly. But it was not enough. Idaho Falls would not finish the comeback.
