River Rats Edge Past Caterpillars, 1-0
|
John Boyd never let Grand Forks get something going. The Columbia right-hander commanded his cutter in pitching the River Rats to a 1-0 win. The River Rats improve their record to 37-26 with the win over Grand Forks.
Wu-ji Hsia was the walk-off hero for Columbia. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the River Rats catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
Hsia attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
