5 Straight Wins for River Rats
|
The Walla Walla Walleye went down to defeat to Dan Dunn and his Columbia teammates. The final score was 5-1 in favor of the River Rats. Columbia reliever Garry Horton picked up the win to move to 3-1. Voitto Niskakangas suffered the loss. The winning streak has now reached 5 games for Columbia.
Columbia took a 2-1 lead on Wu-ji Hsia's 21st hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Hsia hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Walla Walla pitcher Voitto Niskakangas visibly frustrated.
"I like our moxie," said River Rats manager Lockwood Rose.
