Blue Dragons Roll to 9-2 Win Over Caterpillars
|
The Levittown Blue Dragons stopped the Grand Forks Caterpillars, 9-2, at The Cocoon. The Blue Dragons got a big game from Joshua Sanford, who went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Edward Martin, credited with the win, is now 3-5. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 5.1 innings. The 5th-place Caterpillars have dropped 4 straight games.
Levittown relied on the hitting of César Valtez to pick up the win. The center fielder ripped a 2-run triple in the top of the fourth inning to put the Blue Dragons on top, 4-1. For the game, Valtez had 1 triple and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
