Yinzers Lose, 5-2, at Jets Stadium

It was a good time at Jets Stadium, where fans came to watch the Monroeville Yinzers and Kennesaw Jets get after it.
The Kennesaw Jets topped the Monroeville Yinzers, 5-2, in M3L Single A action at Jets Stadium. The player of the game was Kennesaw pitcher Bruce Mitchell. Mitchell, now 2-6, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 0, walking 2, and allowing 1 earned run.
The Yinzers had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Jets going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 20-year old shortstop Xiao-gang Qing came to the plate. Qing hit a run-scoring double on a first pitch fastball from Monroeville hurler Todd Hunter. It was Qing's 11th double of the year.
Mitchell called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
Kennesaw now owns a record of 17-28.
