Bulls Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Chukars
|
The Belleville Bulls got a strong performance from pitcher Tom Woods, who stymied the Idaho Falls offense en route to a 3-1 win at Belleville Field. The winning pitcher was Woods, now 3-4. He tossed 6.2 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 10. The 6th-place Bulls now have a win-loss record of 21-21.
Making an impact for the home team was Dave Curtis. In the bottom of the fifth, the 21-year old second baseman had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 2-0, Bulls.
"I just made my pitches," said Woods, "and the ball kept missing the bat."
