The Buffalo White Walkers defeated the New Orleans Voodoo, 5-4, at Beyond the Wall today. Leading the charge for Buffalo was center fielder Tom Smythe. He went 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Brewster Warble was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 13 of 16 save opportunities. The White Walkers bumped their record to 67-33 with this latest triumph.

Smythe contributed a big hit, a 2-run single, for Buffalo in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 2-1, Smythe took a forkball from Kevin Nogilny and stroked the single to right. His 129th hit of the season allowed the White Walkers to leap in front, 3-2.

In postgame comments to the Buffalo Observer, Smythe said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
