The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles and Springfield Shooters put on quite a show at Springfield Stadium.

The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles beat the Springfield Shooters, 4-2, at Springfield Stadium. Mercer Island third baseman César Enríques earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 2-2 with a double and 2 walks. Mercer Island reliever Jacob Swanson got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Reid Ross was tagged with the loss.

Mercer Island used the timely hitting of Corey Ollerton to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Screaming Eagles on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Good win for us, tough loss for them," said Enríques.

The second-place Screaming Eagles have won 4 consecutive games.
