Blimps Rally For Late Win Over Sixshooters
The Akron Blimps picked up a win at Sixshooters Stadium, knocking off the Westwood Sixshooters, 4-2. Starting pitcher Ismael Pérez played a key role in the triumph. Pérez went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 6. His record improves to 4-5. Akron is third in the Premier AA with a record of 31-23.

Akron used the clutch hitting of Cristo Correa Jr. to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to give the Blimps the lead, 3-2. For the game, Correa Jr. had 2 singles and 1 double in 4 at-bats.

"Ismael was throwing strikes, locating well," said Akron manager Jared Gilbert.
