Biloxi and Virginia met at Palladium Labs in front of a lively crowd.

The Biloxi Shuckers defeated the Virginia Palladium Sox, 7-5. Earning player of the game honors was center fielder Fraser Childs, who went 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4. Biloxi reliever Júlio del Bosque picked up the win to move to 3-1. Jim Harris suffered the loss.

Biloxi needed the clutch hitting of Júlio Coronado to notch the win. The first baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Shuckers on top, 7-5. For the game, Coronado had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Biloxi manager César Navejar.

Biloxi is 28-24 and Virginia, with the loss, 25-27.
