Porter Helps Chesapeake Cruise to 12-3 Win
It was a fun time at Chesapeake Grounds, where the Biloxi Shuckers and Chesapeake Continentals tangled.

Albert Porter was instrumental in his team's 12-3 triumph over the Biloxi Shuckers. The first baseman was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 5 runs and scored once for the Chesapeake Continentals. Gerard Fyson earned the win for Chesapeake. He lasted 6.1 innings, allowing 3 earned runs on 8 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 2-6. Ashley Blamey earned his 2nd save in 2 tries.

Early in the game, catcher Jim Henson had a 2-run single for Chesapeake. It was his 43rd hit of the season and put the Continentals on top, 2-0.
