Grand Forks beat Monroeville at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium, eking out a 2-1 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Mike Barraza, who earned player of the game honors. Sekien Saromi closed it out for his 11th save. The Caterpillars bumped their record to 20-15 with this latest triumph.

It could have been a different outcome for Grand Forks, had it not been for Danny Hensley, the 21-year old shortstop . Hensley contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the third inning to put Grand Forks up, 2-0.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Barraza told the Grand Forks Today.
