The Akron Blimps stymied the Biloxi Shuckers, 4-2, at The Pizza Oven. Dave Hill, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He went 3-3 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Akron. Henry Terry was the winner. Over 7.1 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 8 hits, with no walks and 10 strikeouts. The Blimps raised their record to 24-21.

"I thought we played a nice game," Hill told the Akron Today. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
