Rainbow Mermaids Lose to White Walkers, 7-4
|
The Buffalo White Walkers topped the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids by the score of 7-4, with the largest share of the credit going to left fielder Dread Roberts. Roberts was 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the White Walkers. Buffalo reliever Yeon-kyu Kim was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Mal Houser took the loss. Buffalo has an impressive 64-31 record.
Roberts had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a full count fastball from Mal Houser, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the White Walkers a 6-4 lead. It was the 14th home run of the year for Roberts.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Roberts said.
