Biloxi Shuckers starter Joe Yoder was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Chesapeake Continentals, 5-2. Karisnu Raghunathan closed the door for Biloxi, picking up his 1st save of the year. Chesapeake has now lost 5 in a row.

Biloxi catcher Víctor Ortíz laid a blow when he belted a 2-run home run in the bottom of the second. It was his 2nd home run of the season. With it, the Shuckers took a 2-0 lead.
