Blimps Top Screaming Eagles, 7-2
|
The Akron Blimps topped the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 7-2, at Mercer Island Grounds. Akron left fielder Ju-ho Ko earned player of the game honors. He banged out 1 single and 3 doubles, while driving in 1 runs. At 11-12, the Blimps find themselves in 7th place in the Premier AA.
In the first inning, Ko had a run-scoring double for Akron. It was his 7th double of the season and put the Blimps on top, 1-0.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Ko told the Akron Today.
