Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Blue Dragons
|
In a tight game between the Levittown Blue Dragons and the Put-In-Bay BC, pitcher Edward Martin was terrific on the mound. The Levittown right-hander was named the player of the game in Levittown's 2-1 win. Levittown reliever Boris Klosner was the winner. His record is now 2-1. Jeff Moore took the loss. The Blue Dragons saw their win-loss record go to 11-13. At the same time, the BC fell to 14-10.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Levittown trailing 1-0, Donald Martin hit a changeup from James Brandon to left for a 2-run double. Just like that, the Blue Dragons had a walk-off win.
"This place went bonkers at the end," Martin said.
