Walla Walla rode a fine outing from starter Jorge Solís to victory over the Monroeville Yinzers at Walleye Tank. The final score was 2-0. Solís got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 7 hits and walked 0 over 7 innings. Solís allowed no earned runs. The Walleye now have a mark of 14-10.
Walla Walla grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and a runner on 1st, Eloi Hanai delivered a run-scoring double, to make it 1-0 in favor of the Walleye.
"This is a great group to be a part of, and it's a big win for us," Hanai told the Walla Walla Daily.
