Shuckers Rally For Late Win Over Blimps
The Shuckers had to overcome a fine effort from Akron pitcher Tom Holloway to grab a narrow 4-2 win at Goodyear Hanger Dome. Holloway went 7 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Biloxi reliever Steve Perkins was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Mariano Bueno took the loss. Marc Olsen closed the game out for Biloxi, earning his 8th save.

Biloxi used a timely hit from Lorenzo Lobo to get the win. The left fielder delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the eighth inning to put the Shuckers on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Lobo.

The win puts the Shuckers at 12-9, while the Blimps drop to 10-11.
