Crescent City Krewe starter Manny Pinto was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Akron Blimps, 4-2. The loss drops Akron to 8-9.

It could have been a different outcome for Crescent City, had it not been for Rod Sarkies, the 23-year old first baseman . Sarkies contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the seventh inning to put Crescent City up, 3-1.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Sarkies.
