Sixshooters Come Back Late to Top Continentals
|
The Westwood Sixshooters topped the Chesapeake Continentals, 2-1, in USPL Double A action at Chesapeake Grounds. The player of the game was Westwood pitcher Rio Dring. Manny Rodríguez locked down his 5th save. Westwood, now 10-6, has gotten their season off to a good start.
Westwood used the timely hitting of Leilani Aberahama to capture the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Sixshooters on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but he made it count.
"Both teams played hard," said Westwood manager .
