The Akron Blimps topped the Virginia Palladium Sox, 7-3, in USPL Double A action at Palladium Labs. The player of the game was Akron pitcher and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native Henry Terry. Akron reliever Henry Terry was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. Mike Bennett took the loss for Virginia. Lorenzo Encarnación finished to wrap up his 3rd save.

Pedro Guerrero helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run single to give Akron a 2-0 lead.
