Lake Minnetonka and Irving duked it out at Heron Field and the Love Boats came out victorious.

The Lake Minnetonka Love Boats beat the Irving Blue Sox, 5-4 at Heron Field, in part due to second baseman Kian Hook, who nabbed player of the game honors. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The winner was Travis Iturburua in relief. His record improves to 4-4. Shawn Hanna took the loss.

Pablo Santos drove in 2 runs for Lake Minnetonka. The 25-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Shawn Hanna. It was his 47th RBI of the season.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Hook told the Lake Minnetonka Daily News.

Irving has now lost 4 consecutive games.
