Fur Traders Bump Off Whales, 5-4
|
Tacoma Fur Traders starter Félix Benítez pitched a strong game against the Virginia Beach Whales at Ballpark of Tacoma, leading the Fur Traders to a 5-4 win. Tacoma reliever Mike Johnson picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Arvid Alberink was saddled with the loss. The save was credited to Kenny Caird, his 5th.
Tacoma took a 5-4 lead on Mack Bray's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Virginia Beach pitcher Arvid Alberink in the bottom of the eighth.
"Feels good to get the job done," Bray said after the game.
The Fur Traders now have a mark of 33-61.
